Edasil - clay minerals - are clay small seeds of a size of 0.5 to 2 mm.
Together with particles of humus (decomposed organic matter entirely), they form the clay-humic complex.
Due to their negative character and parallel plate structure, they form chemical bonds with the nutrients (K, Na, Mg, Ca, NH4, ...) positively charged.
Thus, they act as buffer ion in the soil, releasing these elements in case of need (eg. Ex. For plant growth). Besides these nutrient reserves, clay minerals Edasil also constitute water reserves in the ground, they host microbial life and help upgrade the structure of sandy soils.
