Boswellia (Indian frankincense)
Part used: oleo resin collected after incising the trunk. Boswellic acids and terpenes are true protectors of healthy cells due to their antioxidant properties. They can help reduce pain, swelling, and movement disorders in horses suffering from degeneration.
The boswellic acids contribute to the proper functioning of blood vessels in the joints and inflamed tissues. They allow for better blood supply to the tissues, which, when better nourished and drained, can repair more effectively. Boswellia can modulate the immune system by either boosting it or regulating it. It is capable of reducing the severity of ailments in general, accelerating healing time, and relieving pain.
