Nigella sativa, better known as black cumin, is a member of the Ranunculaceae family.

Used since the time of the Egyptians (found in the tomb of Tutankhamun), it has been used by many civilizations.

The Prophet Mohamed claimed that black cumin cured all but death.

Its galenic form includes dried seeds, mother tincture and black cumin oil.
